Two of the loveliest ladies of the 90's.

P J Harvey

And The Gits, featuring the tragic Mia Zapata. Best female vocals in punk ever.

^^^^^^^Immediate disqualification due to the Kim Gordon complex - you want her, but you're too worried about breaking up the band by doing so.

Since JED has denied Mia Zapata her rightful glory, I am left with no choice.

I shall now post what I have discovered to be the absolute worst song of the 90's. It takes the non-apologetic frat stupidity of Hootie without the bare minimum of songcraft they had. The video makes The Verve Pipe look innovative and edgy in comparison.

Oh, and they're from Phoenix. The Gin Blossoms used to blow them off the stage. Tempe music has and always will suck.

I give you - The Refreshments. May god someday forgive me.

I'm not gonna read this whole thing, but lemme just say that the first 2 Breeders albums AND the AMPS album were fucking solid gold from start to finish.

- Oh!
- Glorious
- Doe
- Divine Hammer
- Do you Love me now
- Bragging Party
- Dedicated

and so on...

I was so happy the Breeders opened with and played a ton of Amps songs when I saw them this year.

Thats awesome... I wanna see them really bad.

I couldn't really get into "Title TK" but I really really love one song from there.

The line "I am the Autumn in the Scarlet, I am the makeup on your eye" gets me everytime. I would love to meet Kim Deal one day.

Further proof that the late 90's was one of the worst times in history for pop music:

Fastball - The Way

Hell, even the video hos were subpar then.

I really love this one...can't say that I even remotely follow this genre anymore..and it is a tap to Chrissy Hynde..but I think it is a great song singularly and thoroughly..oops 2004..

..It's obvious that I was listening to underground dance music during the 90's as I don't even know what was good on the other fronts..
