Brief history - it originally came around as several online servers banned the word ''owned'. Since 'pwned' was a frequent mistyping it was immediately brought in as a way around the word ban.

Protest Warrior tried to claim that they invented it as an amalgamation of p(rotest)w(arrior)owned. They are morons, who were beat up by a fat anarchist and considered CMF too out there, as he called for the Biblical law they believed in to actual be applied. And them repressed faggots love them some shellfish. That, and they were too dumb to realize CMF is a troll whose dark side began even trolling his own life. One of those fucks crashed this board, which was totally mine and MQBs fight that this got drawn into.

Dj Odi is one of New York City's finest jungle DJs. His performances date back as far as 1989, when the 14 year old Harlem native began DJing for various events in his neighborhood. His musical interests took a new turn in 1992, when he began promoting for the NASA parties of New York City. It was at these now-legendary parties that he gained his first residency, and began his career as one of America's most sought after jungle DJs.

Odi's talent and ability to please a crowd quickly gained him notoriety. He began touring nationally in 1995; his immaculate sets packed dance floors everywhere with a party vibe that became synonymous with the DJ Odi name. His signature style was characterized by his unique blend of scratching and sampling, both of which were more prominent elements of hip hop music. His creative fusion of hip hop and early drum n bass rapidly gained popularity among DJs and producers, and it was through this fusion that Odi has been credited for the development of "hipstep" (a.k.a. "jump up") jungle. His accomplishments as an innovator of urban music were further recognized in 1998, when Odi became the first jungle DJ to ever be accepted into the prestigious ZULU Nation, forever demolishing the barrier between hip hop and drum n bass.

While DJ Odi is best known for his live performances, he is also an established producer. His production history goes as far back as 1995, with releases on both BML and the now defunct Jungle Sky label. He also pushed his craft to larger levels with his successful foundation of the Digital Konfusion crew. Recently, Odi has been working with the Digital Konfusion crew to spearhead their record label and clothing line, as well as running two successful radio shows on www.nycjungle.com.

Over the last decade, Odi has shared the stage with such legendary and respected DJs as: DB, On-E, Jason Jinx, Mr. Kleen, Frankie Bones, Adam X, Soulslinger, Heather Heart, Micro, Richie Hawtin, Craze, Dara, The Burner Brothers, Blueline (of the Mathematics crew), Phantom 45, Danny the Wildchild, Freaky Flow, J-Smooth, AK1200, Capital J, Hazeus, Trace, Ed Rush, Andy C, Darren J, DJ SS, Keaton, Hive, DJ Rap, Stakka, Roni Size, Krust, Bryan Gee, Sonic & Silver, and DJ Seoul. Born in Odessa, USSR and raised in New York City, straight out the camps of Digital Konfusion and Beyond This World, comes the double-edge talent of Serge aka DJ Vandal. The darkside king from Queens was introduced to NYC nightlife in his early days as an underground artist. His love for beats and samples, as well as painting, didn't take long to manifest as a lifestyle labeled hiphop. At an early age, Serge was exposed to the art on the trains, which soon translated to blackbooks and walls. He began to explore everything from ink to photoshop and came up with a personal style marked by trademark multi-medium pieces.

Serge became ever-present at parties, battles, and summits. A journey through genres was an important influence in the creation of his musical psyche. Influenced by soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, house, techno, gabber, and breakbeat, he began to specialize in what is now jungle / drum n bass. Though known for bringing the darkside to the dancefloor, DJ Vandal carries you on a ride through a mosaic of styles designed to showcase his love for the entire genre. He became a purveyor of underground sound, as well as a contributing force in the early formation of today's "scene."

Dj Vandal has become a local favorite on the jungle circuit through appearances at such staple parties as KonkreteJungle, Physics, Direct Drive, Camouflage, and Testpress Sundays, as well as Digital Konfusion's annual Defyin' The Tribes uptown outlaw party. His art career is equally prolific and has spread into many different fields of both study and play. The fusion of a common vibe between art and music has culminated in canvases, shirt designs, tape/vinyl covers, flyers, and logos, in addition to production work and mix compilations. His label, MainCourseMusic, will be launching in October '07. Be on the lookout for "Oprock," produced by Odi & DJ Vandal, remixed by Mathematics.

Strategic Sessions happens the last monday of every month at Konkrete Jungle, hosted by Odi and DJ Vandal.

Dave Gee

(Methods NYC | Konkrete Jungle | Hipstep Massive)

Dave GEE has been involved with the jungle scene since1996. It was around this time that he first became acquainted with the sound and scene. He immediately bought turntables and began djing at parties throughout the VA/DC area in the late 90�s. By the age of 19 he was already playing at huge clubs in DC and holding down residencies at several weeklies in VA. He was a true pioneer for the jungle scene in Central VA and the surrounding areas. Known as VA�s �Jump Up Jungle DJ,� Dave lives up to the rep by bringing the best in Jump up, Hip Step, and Ragga.

Three years ago Dave moved to Brooklyn to start the MethodsNYC clothing line. In the past year, Methods has been very involved in the jungle scene; releasing mixes from Dj I-Cue and Odi. Known for his highly energetic sets, expect to hear Dave drop some Ragga and Jump Up with that hip step flavor!

Straight out of Miami, FL and now a New York City Resident and member of the Team Ewok collective, TRIGON is known for ripping dancefloors with his intense, quick mixing delivery style of Bboy Jungle/Drum'n'Bass. His love for Funk/Jazz/Hip Hop/Breaks and BASS at an early age led him to join the infamous bboy crew: Definition of Style. Later being exposed to the Jungle sound, TRIGON obtained his first pair of decks and has been laying it down ever since. He now co-hosts the weekly radio show Outside the Cube with Eshin on Bassjunkees Radio. Fresh off his 43rd vinyl release, General Malice continues to pave the way for the Hardstep - Bboy jungle sound. Bringing to the table a combination of raw Hip Hop & Dancehall flavors mixed with hard crashing drums banged out on an MPC. Darkside drum and bass mixed with the soul & vibe of the oldskool. For years winning over crowds from LA to Tokyo and everywhere in between with his unique blend of mash-up showmanship and party bangers.

General Malice first began working with guitars, drum machines, synths, and turntables when he was 14. Slowly building his collection of studio gear and fine tuning his production techniques. At first experimenting with every style of music around, it was later the sounds of CRS?, R.A.W., ODG, Phantom 45, and Danny The Wildchild that turned him onto jungle/dnb. Big Cats 1-5 were received to critical acclaim, world-wide distribution, and entered the top ten figures on retailers like satelite records. Releases continued and it was time for a debut record on Los Angeless home of hot burners : N2O. Launch The Attack & Guns Like Mine were smashers that catapulted Malice into new territory, featuring an exclusive voicing by dancehall giant Wayne Marshall. Soon it was time to leave town for the 2003 N2O - Diss Da Program Tour , covering well over 20 dates and thousands of miles in the Navigator. DJ Dore began spinning records in 1997 when the only records in his crate were James Brown, Frankie Bones, and A Tribe Called Quest. He soon gained interest in dub reggae and drum and bass, frequenting New York�s Wetlands club to attend Konkrete Jungle�s weekly bashment. While honing his mixing technique spinning ragga jungle and drum and bass, DJ Dore found an outlet for his diverse musical tastes in audio production.

Since 2006, his focus has turned from drum and bass to dubstep, where he has gained considerable ground as a DJ and a producer. Keeping in line with his trend of mixing and sampling across genres, DJ Dore has teamed up with Nebulla to forge a hybrid of dubstep and dirty-south rap on their forthcoming bootleg album The Dirtystep Mixtape Volume 2.

Nebulla began playing Hip Hop at college in North Carolina. Already a fan of Jungle and Drum and Bass, he quickly refined his style with clear dedication to mash-up genres. Qualified Audio Engineer/Producer/Beatmaker. Born in London 1983 but grew up in both England and Italy. Always rep his English/Southern Italian roots, keeping family and his cultures alive is very important. Nato currently lives in Queens, New York. Nato started doing music seriously after he graduated Institute of Audio Research in NYC in 2005. Born and raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in Spanish Harlem NYC. Since the early 90�s I-Cue has been a constant force within the New York hip-hop and electronic music scene as a DJ and producer. Producing everything from acid jazz, hip-hop music, abstract hip-hop and drum & bass.

One of the pioneers of the hipstep sound (hip-hop influenced drum & bass) I-Cue bridges the gap between hip-hop and drum & bass so deftly, it makes you wonder why there was a gap between them. By refusing to be confined to the preconceived notions of what a genre is, I-Cue takes music as a whole to a higher level of understanding. Taking the head-nodding party appeal of hip-hop, cutting edge drum & bass, with a little turntablism added, transforming it into a futuristic blend of hipstep. Producing re-mixes for Gravediggaz and Texta (an Austrian hip-hop group) and recording tracks for such labels as Sugar Spliff Records/BML Entertainment, AV8 Records, New Breed Records and Jungle Sky/Liquid Sky/Home Entertainment, I-Cue proves his knack for tackling every genre with equal aplomb. �Growing up in the late 70�s early 80�s, some of my musical influences were mainly based on hip-hop and any music involved with hip-hop (i.e. soul, funk, disco, r & b, reggae and jazz). Listening to !underground radio stations where D J�s would cut up and scratch break beats back & forth on turntables became a very big influence in my craft.�

 As a DJ, I-Cue has traveled across the Atlantic to Austria and throughout the US with Digital Konfusion, a DJ/Artist/Dancers group. Performing in states such as Texas, Massachusetts, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Washington DC, Ohio and Missouri to name a few. Performing along side with artists such as Afrika Bambatta, Kool Herc, Schoolly-D, Jay-Biz (Hieroglyphics), Del The Funky Homosapien, Blackalicious, Blood of Abraham, The X-ecutioners, Maseo (De La Soul), D.I.T.C, Mighty Mi, Cash Money, Danny The Wildchild, Fafu, Soulslinger, T.C. Izlam, Jamalski, Jazzy Nice and others.

 Though times have changed, I-Cue has still been consistent with the flow of his art. His style is now one of the biggest influences in this profession. Still rocking crowds, making you flip your wig to his non stop exclusive dubs and keeping you interested in his musical expressions. Needless to say, I-Cue has paid his dues and has come a long way as a dj/producer. Doubts? Then check him for yourself. His talent and skills speak for themselves. What else is to come from I-Cue? Originally from Berlin, Germany, Amadeus has been pushing the sounds of Ragga / Jungle / Drum N Bass for a decade now. He rose up playing clubs and raves all over Colorado, from "Roofless Productions" and "Together Productions" Raves, to SOMA in Boulder (Mixmag voted Top Ten club in the USA), and many more. His first CD "Phonik Boom" was released on Organik Recordings (now defunct) in 2000 and the following release "Midsummer Night Sessions" (Organik Recordings, 2001) was praised by BPM Magazine as "The music is sooo fine - drum and bass bliss. Props for not being the typical band wagon monkey. Young producer and DJ LionDub strives to embrace multiple styles of music and mixing, blending genres that are vastly different, yet rooted in the same heartbeat of the ancient kette drum. Deos, a self taught Dj/Producer, may be new to you but hes not new to the scene.Deos was exposed to hip hop at an early age and that served as a soundtrack for his life, that was untill 1999 when he was first introduced to jungle.He immedietly fell in love with the sound and did all he could to surround himself with the music.In a scene dominated by the mechanical growling sounds of techstep he yearned for something more groovy and funky.It was then he came across a producer by the name of Remarc and realised his true passion, RAGGA JUNGLE.The freeform drums, earthy rhythms and soulful vocals was exactly what he was looking for.Since then, he has focused on bringin it back to the earlier style of jungle.

I don't care who's president because being president doesn't really MEAN
anything specific anymore...you have a lot of power and respect
internationally and in DC, but as the apex of a political career, it is
BATHOS....Big Government, the Federal government, is
responsible for a LOT....roads, bridges, poor people, public
buildings....but it doesn't DO anything anymore...except wage war, which
is natural. Public organizations are the ones that matter, who actually make hings happen, and those are private organizations....I could NEVER have any
say about what goes on within them....

The presidency is like the Olympics or the All-Star Game....it takes place once every few years, it's showy and sentimental, and it counts for
NOTHING.
